Assistant Controller
The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, the leading champion of empowerment and opportunity for African Americans and others throughout the region in securing economic self-reliance, social equality, and civil rights, is seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for helping others to join our Finance team as an Assistant Controller.
Responsibilities include contribution accounting, grant accounting, accounting for leases, bank reconciliations and assistance with the supervision of Finance Department staff. Other duties may include assisting with facility management, day-to-day oversight of accounting processes, and timely, accurate and efficient reporting to local, state, and federal sources.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a BA/BS Degree in accounting, 5 - 10 years of related experience working with GAAP, internal controls, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. CPA/MBA preferred. Knowledge of Abila/MIP Accounting System and experience working in the Non-Profit Industry is considered a plus.
