Data Entry Specialist

The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis is seeking a qualified individual to work as a Data Entry Specialist in the Head Start/Early Head Start program.

The Data Entry Specialist will inventory and requisition supplies; complete data entry requirements of family and child data and assist with reporting systems necessary for utilization of the data; receive, open and distribute mail as directed; follow procedures for general office systems, such as building security, telephone answering and messaging; collect and record weekly co-payments for before and after care and submits to the Center Coordinator and Business office;  monitor, collect and record child care subsidy fees and attendance data to be entered into state data base for payment; substitute as nutrition aide as needed; and other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the center.

Qualified individuals must demonstrate professional and effective verbal and writing communication skills, establish work priorities and remain flexible; have excellent customer service and time management skills, and demonstrate tact and discretion in the preparation, disclosure, and handling information of a confidential and sensitive nature.

The above knowledge and abilities are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma. At least one years' experience in an administrative/customer service role is required. Business related college coursework is desirable.  Salary is commensurate with experience.
