Economic Impact Specialist

The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, the leading champion of empowerment and opportunity for African Americans and others throughout the region in securing economic self-reliance, social equality, and civil rights, is seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for helping others to join our St. Clair County team as an Economic Impact Specialist.

The Economic Impact Specialist will provide employment and housing assistance through advocacy, counseling & and case management services, job readiness training, job development and placement, rental, utility, and possible mortgage assistance for each assigned contract.

The ideal candidate must have:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Knowledge of casework concepts
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to demonstrate tact and discretion in preparing, disclosing, and handling information of a confidential and sensitive nature
• Knowledge of common software applications
• A Bachelor's Degree in Business Human/Social Services or related behavioral science field or extensive experience in a Human Services related field
