Food Pantry Aide

The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, the leading champion of empowerment and opportunity for African Americans and others throughout the region in securing economic self-reliance, social equality and civil rights, is seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for helping others to join our Patch Outreach Center as a Food Pantry Aide.

The Aide will:

  • Pick up and receive deliveries of produce and other food pantry items from distribution sites
  • Sort, stock, and store food packets in an appropriate manner
  • Ensure proper the proper temperature of frozen items
  • Complete requisitions to purchase food pantry items
  • Assist in the training of volunteers
  • Perform other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel within the metropolitan area
  • State Chauffeur's license
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
