Intake Specialist

The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, the leading champion of empowerment and opportunity for African Americans and others throughout the region in securing economic self-reliance, social equality, and civil rights, is seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for helping others to work as an Intake Specialist to support the Weatherization Department.

Role and Responsibilities

• Serve as initial contact for clients via phone or face to face, and intake all information.
• Perform clerical duties to include the reception and evaluation of inquiries, providing information and assistance as requested
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files by tracking and recording key metrics for reporting purposes.
• Create invoicing for all incoming expenditures for monthly billing as well as with contractors.
• Support Program staff in their follow-up, as well as completion of paperwork necessary for reporting as needed.
• Assist clients with completing applications for participation.
• Demonstrate tact and discretion in preparing, disclosing, and handling information of a confidential and sensitive nature.

The ideal candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, excellent customer service skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks at once, and a wide range of experience managing clerical responsibilities while demonstrating tact and discretion in preparing, disclosing, and handling information of a confidential and sensitive nature.
