Payroll Clerk

The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, the leading champion of empowerment and opportunity for African Americans and others throughout the region in securing economic self-reliance, social equality, and civil rights, is seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for helping others to join our Finance team as a Payroll Clerk.

This position has primary responsibility for processing payroll and maintenance of the payroll system, reviewing and reconciling payroll reports and preparing journal entries; providing information to departments and employees regarding payroll issues.

The above knowledge and abilities are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience. The above knowledge and abilities are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. At least three years of experience in an accounting and finance administrative position is required.

College coursework in business or related fields is desirable. An Associate's Degree in Accounting is required, a Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Three to five years of experience in an accounting and finance administrative position is required.
