Program Assistant - Serving Our Streets

The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis is seeking a qualified individual to work as a Program Assistant to support the Serving Our Streets program, a program of Public Safety Division.

The assistant will perform clerical duties to include the reception and evaluation of inquiries, providing information and assistance as requested, the initial point of inquiry for the program, scheduling appointments, maintain calendars and reports Serving Our Streets calendar activities for use throughout the agency. Other responsibilities include data entry of family, child, and employment data and assists with reporting systems necessary for utilization of the data, as well as assists in the preparation of reports, proposals, manuals and presentations related to the Serving Our Streets Program.  

Qualified individuals must have strong interpersonal skills, excellent customer service skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks at once, and a wide breadth of experience managing clerical responsibilities while demonstrating tact and discretion in preparing, disclosing, and handling information of a confidential and sensitive nature.

The above knowledge and abilities are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma. At least one year experience in an administrative/customer service is required, college coursework in secretarial/administrative assistant, or related field is desirable.
