Virtual Job Coach

The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis is seeking a qualified individual to work as a Virtual Job Coach, providing supervision, direction and support to STL Youth Jobs Participants. The Job Coach will implement strategies to achieve contractual goals and coordination/ monitoring of (virtual) service delivery. Must have advanced knowledge of computer and internet-based applications. This is a temporary, part-time position (30 hrs/wk).

The Job Coach will conduct virtual program enrollments, training sessions, and job readiness activities with Youth participants, via various online platforms. Monitor all job readiness, financial literacy, and professional development training activities as assigned by caseload. Encourage participants to engage in program activities, maintain attendance virtually, and develop strong work habits. Develop and/or strengthen problem solving skills and conflict resolution skills. Identify and share relevant job/educational opportunities and supportive services for participants. Utilize the management system to record all participant activity.

The above knowledge and abilities are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience. A Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related human service field, work experience/coursework in public administration and three years of experience working with disadvantaged, low income clients and the general community are desirable. Current/past educators with strong computer skills are encouraged to apply.
